The day started with rain and continued with clouds for most of the day. However, John Balicki, Carmine, Hank, and myself, along with Jack, a pilot in the Pacific from WWII, headed out to Chino. Woody and friend met us there and Gene was also there but with his truck club.
Due to the clouds and threat of rain, I think there were fewer people but the airplanes did a marvelous job of exhibiting "their stuff". The acrobatics in the air were great and I personally think the clouds ceiling gave us a better vision of everything. My favorite are the War planes. It just gives me a thrill to see and hear them. Pride in American abilities to outsmart the enemies at that time. The F-16 came on near the end of the show and it was worth the wait.
There was one stand for food (breakfast and chicken burritos, nachos with cheese, which were very good, by the way), but most people brought their own treats.
I think I have been going for 5+ years and still love it. Car show and Air show both for free. What more could you ask for! Hope to see you next year.
